Rediscover Your Wholeness

Humans are like the moon; I often use this metaphor in my classes. Sometimes we feel like a half, or even just a thin crescent of ourselves; fragmented and not quite whole. There are days when we appear incomplete, both to ourselves and to others. But just like the moon, this is only a perception shaped by angle, timing, and light. In truth, the moon is always full; we only see different phases of it. It never loses a piece of itself. And neither do we.
This is very important to remember. Not just as a comforting thought, but as a deeper truth. We do not miss any parts. We are not waiting to be completed. And we do not need someone else’s validation to confirm our wholeness. The idea that we are incomplete without something or someone outside of us is a deception. It affects our relationships, our self-worth, and even our life choices. This deception often begins at an early age. We are taught to seek approval, to measure ourselves through comparison, to define our worth through external feedback. Over time, this conditioning creates an inner narrative: I will be enough when… (when I achieve more, when I am loved more, when I become more). But this “when” never truly arrives because it is rooted in the false premise that we lack something. And we do not.
Let me bring another truth. We are luminous beings. We are pure white light. But what is white light? Think back to a simple school experiment: when white light passes through a prism, it splits into a spectrum of colors - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. Just a side note: there are seven colors and seven major chakras, isn’t it interesting? Each color carries its own wavelength, its own vibration, its own unique expression. Yet none of these colors exist independently as white light. Only when they merge together do we see the full, radiant wholeness. This is one of the most profound lessons the universe offers us. To be complete - to truly embody our “white light” - we must embrace every color within us. In human terms, these colors are the many aspects of our personality and emotions. The joyful parts, the wounded parts, the confident and the uncertain, the light and the shadow. Each carries its own frequency, its own purpose. But often, we try to reject certain “colors.” For example:
We suppress our sadness because we think it makes us weak.
We deny our desires because we fear judgment.
We distance ourselves from parts of our past if they feel uncomfortable.
In doing so, we begin to fragment our own light. These rejected aspects do not disappear; they simply become quieter and heavier. They show up as inner tension, self-doubt, or a strong feeling that something is “off.”
From an energetic perspective, disharmony begins when we start suppressing a part of ourselves. Every “color” within us carries a vibration. When we suppress or deny certain aspects, we interrupt the natural flow of energy. It is like muting some instruments in an orchestra. The music will continue, but it will lose richness and coherence. The result is that we are creating an imbalance. And that imbalance is often experienced as dissatisfaction… as incompleteness.
But the truth is, nothing is missing. What we are feeling is not the absence of something - it is the disconnection from what is already there. Reiki gently guides us back into alignment. It does not require us to fix ourselves but allows us to observe these feelings without judgment. To create space for all parts of our being to be acknowledged. After we begin to accept every aspect of ourselves, something shifts. Acceptance does not mean we approve of everything we do or have done. This is an invitation to learn, to improve. But improvement does not mean elimination – it’s an invitation to transformation. It means we stop shaming or ignoring ourselves; it means we meet ourselves with honesty and compassion instead of criticism and rejection. We start seeing these parts not as something that needs to be removed, but as something we can learn from. In that space of acceptance, energy begins to flow more freely. The “colors” start to come back together. The fragmented parts begin to integrate. And slowly, naturally, we return to our original state - our pure white light.
The quiet peace and happiness arise from this integration. They no longer depend on circumstances. An inner space that says: I am enough, exactly as I am, in this moment. This does not mean life becomes perfect. It means that perfection becomes unnecessary for happiness. Relationships become less about seeking completion and more about sharing wholeness. We no longer look to others to fill our gaps, because we understand there are no gaps, only parts waiting to be embraced. Appreciation for who we are, in all our complexity, becomes the foundation for everything else. It creates inner stability. It allows us to respond instead of react. It softens the inner dialogue, makes it more supportive, more truthful. It is not always easy. There will still be moments when we feel like a shadow of ourselves, when doubt creeps in, when old patterns resurface. But even in those moments, the truth does not change. The moon is still full, and we are still complete. So, when you find yourself feeling “less than,” pause for a moment. Not to fix anything, but simply to remember. Remember that your light has not diminished - it is only being filtered through perception. Remember that every part of you has a place in your wholeness. Remember that your completeness is not something you achieve - it is something you recognize.
You are not becoming whole. You are uncovering the wholeness that has always been there. And that realization, gentle and powerful, is where true peace begins.
With love,
Roman
