Everything in the Universe is connected, and our body is part of it. Everything communicates and exchanges information. We continuously receive and transmit energy and all kinds of information. We are like an advanced TV that receives a mind-boggling number of programs, but we cannot watch them all simultaneously. We choose what to watch. We have the power of remote control; we are in charge.
In this blog, I will talk only about how to keep our remote control operational. How to change the channels is a topic for another time. We can control what channel we want to watch, what kind of energy to respond to, and what to receive. The basic manual to keep our remote control functional is articulated in Reiki precepts.
Just for today, I will not anger
Just for today, I will not worry
Just for today, I will be true to myself
Just for today, I will be grateful
Just for today, I will be kind to myself and others.
They are the foundation of Reiki and the basics of balancing energy flow. Reiki precepts are instructions on how to obtain inner peace.
There are seven major points to keep our remote control functional.
1. Everything that involves energy needs to be grounded. Connect with nature.
(See https://www.peaceandbalance.org/post/benefits-of-grounding-or-earthing)
2. Take care of your needs.
Self-care needs to be one of your daily priorities. Self-care includes anything you do to keep yourself healthy – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Burning the candle at both ends is not a badge of honor.
3. Practice gratitude and gratefulness.
Studies show that the practice of gratitude boosts dopamine and serotonin. Most professionals recommend practicing it in the morning or before falling asleep. Each day, as we practice gratitude, we strengthen these neural pathways in our brain and eventually create a permanent grateful, positive nature within ourselves.
4. Prioritize your activities, and create healthy boundaries.
Identify the most important tasks for today, preferably writing them in order on one list. The next important part is time management. Dedicate a specific time to a particular task. Remember, we are not created for multitasking.
5. Attend to your emotions and feelings.
Emotions and feelings – our body physically responds to them without us realizing this. Do not ignore them. Sweeping under the rug will not work. Inner peace is the realization that everything will change, nothing is permanent, and you will be OK no matter what.
6. Have a daily routine. Our body hates chaos.
These are just a few benefits of having a daily routine. It makes us more efficient, creates structure and stability, and reduces stress. A daily routine helps build healthy habits and break bad ones. After all, creating your routine is nothing other than a conscious choice of your daily actions by making healthy repetitions.
7. Make a commitment to yourself. You are important.
There is no one like you. You are unique like everyone else. We have a purpose in our life. When I say you make a difference in the world, I mean our daily activities and interactions affect people around us: our actions, good or bad, create a ripple effect on the world. You can help and inspire others.
Conclusion
We all have the power to increase and improve our body's energy flow. We all have the ability to create and maintain our inner peace. Our inner peace is generated inside us, so it cannot be affected by outside forces unless we allow it. Our health and happiness are in our hands. Make It your New Year's resolution and priority.
With love,
Roman
